Finding Forever Homes

Finding Forever Homes was founded by Chelsea Watson and her dog Sky in 2019. Chelsea is passionate about dogs, their welfare and happiness. Her dream was to open a sanctuary in Spain where she could help to rescue and rehome any and all dogs that needed her help. So she moved to Spain, gained some experience with dog rescuers in the Alicante region and then began to take in rescue dogs and find them their forever homes based at her small rented property near Pinoso. After several years of hard work, unwaivering dedication and determination Chelsea was able to finally register the Finding Forever Homes dog sanctuary, The 5R's, as an official association in 2024. She has found homes for hundreds of dogs over the past five years and is now able, with the help of an amazing committee, establish her association, The 5R's, in the local community of Pinoso, Spain. The next stage of the journey will be for The FFH-5R's sanctuary to become the first fully licensed dog rescue in Pinoso, which will allow the sanctuary to grow and expand their work further, helping to save the lives of many more dogs in the area.
Finding Forever Homes Limited was registered as non-profit company in England & Wales in order to facilitate fundraisng and assist in administrative tasks in the UK after Brexit. All funds raised by FFH Ltd, either through donations, sponsorships or UK based events and the profits from the sale of FFH branded merchandise and items in our online 'Sanctuary Shop' are donated to The 5R's Association in Spain.
FFH has a dedicated team of online volunteers who assist in administration of social media accounts, spreading awareness of the sanctuary and of dogs looking for homes. This team of volunteers has been absolutely vital in the survival and growth of FFH and more importantly, the rescue and re-homing of over 35 dogs in 2024 alone.

“Some people see dogs as working dogs or toys that can easily be discarded with age or imperfections. I see them as angels of love and hope that someone threw away.”

Hello!

Hey guys! I'm Sky. I run a dog sanctuary out in Spain with my Mum, Chelsea, and our little pack of misfits. We started Finding Forever Homes back in 2019 just before the pandemic hit all of us. We began with a dream to help rescue dogs, £20, and an old banger filled to the roof with our bits and bobs. I still can't believe my Mum brought most of her clothes and ONLY ONE TENNIS BALL FOR ME. â€‹

We've been through a lot and we've picked up a few new family members along the way. Without fail Mum manages to find them loving and brilliant homes for my friends to live long, happy, and safe lives.

Some stay with me a little longer as they need a few more manners because we have started to achieve our dream now. Mum loves working with all the floofs that come in. My mum even trains the rescue doggies with a lead and crate trains them which I think is important so that when my friends head off they aren't too stressed about their travel.

Thinking about it, Mum is pretty awesome at giving all these dogs the time, care, shelter, and love they need until their forever home is found.

We've already found forever homes for over 400 dogs. We're not stopping any time soon!
