Kennedy is a 7 month old German Pointer cross. Like most pointers he is an energetic, playful and intelligent dog; extremely loving, adores attention and is slightly clumsy but what pup isn't?
He came to the FFH sanctuary with his two sisters who have both happily found their forever homes in the UK. Due to an over-playful afternoon between the three of them, Kennedy ended up with a broken paw which has taken time to heal and so delayed his re-homing journey until now.
Kennedy will be castrated and ready for re-homing by mid-December 2022. He has been socialised with dogs of all ages and sizes; both bitches and dogs. Crate trained, lead trained, basic command trained; sit, paw, and recall.
Kennedy is untested with children, due to this we will not consider homing him where there are children under the age of 8.
Kennedy needs an experienced dog owner as pointers can be a real handful unless they are well exercised and stimulated. He will need two good walks a day, each followed by 1-2 hours of down time in the crate immediately afterwards. As a pointer Kennedy will require quite a lot of stimulation through training, opportunity to play and stretch his legs, so a home with an enclosed private garden is essential.
